An Ethereum casino accepts ETH — and often ERC-20 tokens like USDT and USDC — for deposits and withdrawals. Mechanically it works like any crypto casino: send ETH to the casino's address, play, and cash out to your wallet. Ethereum is worth understanding on its own because of two things that set it apart from Bitcoin: it charges a variable "gas" fee per transaction, and it supports a whole ecosystem of cheaper Layer-2 networks that most players should be using for small deposits. This is a lower-volume, more technical corner of the market, so we've built this page mainly for players who specifically hold ETH and want to use it well.
Every Ethereum transaction carries a "gas" fee. This is the crucial point most guides gloss over: gas is paid to the Ethereum network's validators, not to the casino. The casino doesn't set it or profit from it; it rises and falls with how busy the network is. When the network is congested, a simple deposit or withdrawal on Ethereum Mainnet can cost meaningfully more than the same transfer of a cheaper coin. That's not the casino gouging you — it's the cost of using the main Ethereum chain at a busy moment. The practical implication: for small casino amounts, a fixed-ish gas fee can be a large percentage of your transfer. That's exactly what Layer-2 networks solve.
Layer-2 networks are chains built on top of Ethereum that process transactions far more cheaply while still settling to Ethereum's security. If a casino supports them, they're the smart default for everyday play.

Rule of thumb: few players should be gambling on Mainnet with small amounts because of gas. Use a Layer-2 if the casino offers it — and always match the network on both ends. Sending ETH or a token on the wrong network can lose the funds permanently.
